Naaah the mangaka was cold to do Ruby like that. Poor girl, just when she was expressing her feelings about him, for it to be shot down by finding his corpse on the mountain.

From the very beginning this episode had to cover what happened to Aqua´s old body. Surely the killer woudn´t leave it to rot for someone to find, but at the same time leaving it in the cave not the best move. If he had burried it somewhere even in a cementary under a fake name or something no one would have ever found it.
I knew Aqua or Ruby had to discover the doctor´s body one way or another, however to do it the way they did specially for Ruby since she had a crush on him, is just straight up evil.

Predictable cliffhanger for the episode, but I wonder what are they gonna do? I mean it´s obvious they have to report it, but if they report it and the police make public who found it, surely that would bring a whole lot of trouble for Ruby and Aqua. Hopefully Ruby and Akane tell Aqua and Miyako before anyone else.

I'm not sure that guy was the most calculating of killers if you recall lmao. He wasnt doing very well. Why would reporting the death bring trouble for Ruby and Aqua? While im sure there was some supernatural assistance in her being led to that spot, its a pretty solid alibi.

@Fweb

It´s clear the father is the mastermind that orchestrated the doctor and Ai to be killed. But we yet don´t have a reason why he did that or that I can remember at least. He must have had a reason for killing Ai´s doctor and that´s where the father might create trouble for both Aqua and Ruby, if he thinks they are after him.

As random as it is, who walks on a mountain at night then decide to look behind a small shrine to then find a rotten corpse?

One way or another all these events are connected, it´s obvious Ruby and Akane happened to find the body and clearly have an alibi, but to the dad, he it might look different.

Fantastic episode, we got carefree character interactions, some trips to memory lane, some plot revelations, all leading up to that strong finish.

The two biggest plot points I liked are kind of connected. So when they first reach their destination, they start discussing some japanese mythology. The first one mentioned was the goddess Ame-no-Uzume-no-Mikoto, the goddess of entertainment. The second being Amaterasu, who was said to hide out in a cave only to be lured out by the entertainment or commotion outside.

So later on in the episode, toward the end of Aqua and Akane's little sightseeing tour (aka Aqua going down memory lane) they end up at his past life's house. And then some little girl in a tree mentions how nice it was how those three were brought together. Two beings who lived lives without their mothers coming into contact with a mother who gave birth to children without souls. So does this means Ai was originally supposed to have two still births? But through the two's connection or strong feelings for her allowed them to alter fate somehow? idk just my guess from it. I instantly thought that little girl was some kind of goddess but as I'm not familiar with mythology I wasn't too sure on who it could be.

At least not until the end, where that crow snatched her room keys (they like shiny objects). When she started chasing the crow, I already knew where this plot was heading to. It would take her straight to Gorou Amamiya's corpse, I liked that it was Ruby instead of Aqua who found it. It does better for plot. But the actual detail I like is how it was hidden in a cave. Was this Amaterasu's intervention? They made it point of bringing up that lore from earlier. And is amaterasu that same child in the tree from earlier on in the episode? Questions for thought

I wonder why she's so interested in these twins that she would go out of her way to interfere. Is this her first time meddling with them? And what is her goal? Are my initial questions regarding this.

Next episode is the final, this is setting up for a strong finish

I spent the first half of this episode tearing up at the sad but sweet moments, and also wishing and praying that Ruby finds out who Aqua is and we have an actual discussion addressing that.

The second half I spent tense off my ass as we got closer and closer to some of that being revealed. ("He went to the hospital looking to see someone" and moving right past it)
Then we get the ending and I'm almost tearing up out of getting so close but missing and her trauma.

Dear Lord, they better fucking have them hash things out next episode.

I don't remember if it's from the show or something someone posted on here that said that he is aware of who she is. If he sees her react like this to finding his body and doesn't address it I'll shit myself in rage.

Come on, why do we have to go through torture like this 😔 And I was enjoying Ruby's & Akane's girl talk so much 😌

Also, Akane should have totally dragged Ruby to the inn, how safe must be Japan to think it's okay to get lost in a forest at a remote place? Same goes to Aqua btw, considering he got killed by a junkie in the same area how come he doesn't have the least bit of PTSD or at least feel a little bit cautious? Seriously, and this is coming from the two most mature people in this cast 😠

Shockingly dark episode. Was not expecting that Kana corpse shot, spooked me good. Also looks like some supernatural plot points are being introduced with the crows and the girl with the white hair. Tbh I took the whole reincarnation thing for granted and didn't even question it so it's good to be getting a proper explanation.

Its Kanover.
Now that we had Kana and Akane, maybe its time for some sibling love?

This was the first time I have seen anyone use E scooters in anime I think? Its so weird how "modern" this anime is. Most shows feel like they could show life from 10 years ago, or even 20, yet this one really feels like its up to date.

Are Aqua and Ruby really just 15? I thought they were a little older. All the work they do in the industry seems crazy now, I guess same goes for Akane and Kana. When I was that age... better not think about it.

With the way it was going before, I did not expect the reincarnation part of the story to matter at all anymore, glad to see I was wrong. I dont like it when stuff like this gets used cheaply for the starter setting and then never again. Same with time loops which dont matter.

Time for Ruby and Aqua to have a talk about life?

Gotta love how this episode was titled "Reunion" 💀

Solid episode overall. Ruby x Gorou is weird and Ruby x Gorou (in her brother's body) will be even weirder but I still appreciated some aspects such as Gorou's character study and the surprisingly amusing interactions between Ruby and Akane.

By the way, it sure was an interesting detail the fact of Ai giving birth to dead children in case Ruby and Aqua wouldn't have reincarnated. Just imagine how devastated Ai would have been...

Anyways, one episode left. Wonder how this season will conclude.

We are shown that Ruby still really loves Gorou Amamiya, a doctor who treated her when she was little in her previous life. However, Ruby herself did not realize that in fact, her own brother, Aqua, was Gorou all this time. Is this a sign of the beginning of incest? 💀

Oh yes, at the ending, Ruby and Aqua found the corpse of Gorou Amamiya, which has become bones by now. Of course, Ruby, who was previously full of joy, immediately feel down. Gorou, whom she loved and cared for so much, had apparently died a long time ago.

B-Komachi, Aqua and Akane visit the shoot location, Aqua and Ruby’s birthtown. Aqua asks about his previous life in the hospital he worked, and they assumed he resigned. He wonders if he should look around for his own corpse.

I wonder who that woman is with the crow. She seems to know a lot more than others. A crow steals Ruby’s thing and leads her to a cave. The cave contains Aqua’s past life’s corpse. This shocks Ruby. Akane is by her side.

Aqua's heart becomes positive, while Ruby's became negative... this is getting interesting.
But the new character—the white-haired little girl on top of the tree—is somehow... intriguing.
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Aqua has mommy issues mommy issues for imagining Kana like that oml. I feel bad for her because I am sure that Aqua will start avoiding or being rude to her to try to "protect her". Poor thing :( She looked so adorable when she was being filmed thinking of him as her crush.

I feel so bad for Ruby, that is so heartbreaking :(. But it was very touching to see him wearing that charm even until his death. I hope she takes it and helps Aqua realize what's going on/who she is. BUT I don't want a weird incest/sister complex pleaseeee. Ruby might be blinded by affection and act weird for a bit but,,,Sarina was a child when she died and Gorou even acknowledged that, so there's no way he could be "into her" back! Right ;_;? I just feel like I am going to be wrong and that sucks lol. If it ends up the weird incest route then I am sure a lot of people will jump ship from this anime, myself likely included :P. It's really well done so I hope that's not how the story ends up going, but it's not my art so it's not up to me!

Also poor Akane has had to deal with seeing/hearing so much messed up stuff in regards to these siblings. I wonder if Aqua will try to go see his body, though I am sure Akane will say to call the police or something so I don't know. Mem really got lucky having to stay after hours :o.

Poor Kana having her plans ruined by her rival. Her sobbing hysterically and also being ignored by everyone except for an undecided Memcho was funny.

Ruby finding Gorou's corpse really twisted the knife in the story. Are both siblings going to lose their motivations?
